For Dr. Lazzara, that connection goes back even further. His family has been part of this community for more than 40 years.
Today, Dr. Lazzara, Dr. Poblenz, and our team are proud to carry that commitment forward. This is where we live, work, raise our families, and genuinely want to see our whole community succeed.
Supporting Local Schools & Education
Dr. John Lazzara, alongside THE PLAYERS/PGA TOUR, was an original Partner in Education with PVPV/Rawlings Elementary School, helping establish a program that would eventually expand to schools throughout the surrounding community.
That early involvement has grown into an ongoing commitment across Lazzara Orthodontics. We invest thousands of dollars each year in local education and school partnerships, supporting the students, teachers, and schools that do so much for local families.
Cheering On Our Local Athletes
From youth sports leagues to middle and high school athletics, we’re proud to support the teams and programs that give local kids opportunities to play, compete, and grow.
For Dr. Lazzara, that involvement has extended far beyond sponsorship. He has served as president of the Ponte Vedra Athletic Association and president of the Ponte Vedra High School Booster Club, taking an active role in supporting local athletes and the programs behind them.
Giving Our Time to Causes That Matter
Our involvement extends beyond schools and sports. Over the years, Dr. Lazzara has served in leadership and volunteer positions with organizations throughout the Jacksonville and Ponte Vedra communities, including:
- Cowford Ball: Served as Chair of the American Cancer Society fundraiser, with funds raised during his tenure helping support construction of Hope Lodge for patients undergoing cancer treatment in Jacksonville.
- Ponte Vedra Community Association: Served on the Board supporting the local community.
- Florida Mission of Mercy: Served on the fundraising committee supporting access to dental care.
That same spirit of involvement continues throughout Lazzara Orthodontics today as our doctors and team look for meaningful ways to give back.
