Dr. Lazzara believes the best orthodontic care begins with understanding the person behind the smile.
He takes the time to listen carefully to each patient’s concerns, goals, and priorities, then develops an individualized treatment plan designed specifically around their needs.
To Dr. Lazzara, every detail matters, from the way a smile functions to the way it looks and feels in everyday life.
His philosophy is simple: if something can be done better, it should be.
That mindset drives the intentional systems, thoughtful processes, and continuously improving patient experience Lazzara Orthodontics has become known for.
A Legacy Built to Keep Getting Better
Dr. Lazzara’s connection to the Jacksonville Beaches community runs deep. His family has roots here spanning more than 40 years, and he considers it a privilege to serve the same community his family has long called home.
After relocating from New Orleans to Jacksonville in 2005, Dr. Lazzara began practicing at the beaches in 2007 and later expanded the practice with the opening of the Nocatee location in 2019.
Dr. Lazzara believes in building something lasting for both his patients and the community. That legacy continues with his son, Alex, who plans to join the practice in the years ahead and carry on a family tradition shaped by generations of orthodontists, including Dr. Lazzara’s father and uncles.

Outside the office
Outside the office, you can find Dr. Lazzara:
- Spending time with his wife and their three sons
- Traveling anywhere and everywhere, from Japan and Italy to weekends in Islamorada or relaxing at the beach close to home
- Out on the water boating and fishing, although he admits he enjoys catching more than fishing
- Playing golf and happily spending hours on the course with friends and a little friendly competition
- Cooking for friends and family, often happiest with a house full of people enjoying a meal he made himself
